This 10 minute course is intended for those who will be working with blood borne pathogens (human source materials, HIV, hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, or other potentially infectious materials) AND who want to decline the hepatitis B vaccine. This course addresses many misconceptions about Hepatitis B disease and immunization. Course objectives include:
- Understanding the issues surrounding Hepatitis B infection in the research environment.
- Understanding that Hepatitis B can be effectively prevented.
- Understanding the benefits of being immunized before working with blood borne pathogens.
**PLEASE NOTE: The Learning Management System (LMS), where trainings are housed, is set up for employees. If you are a student or visiting scholar, you must request access to the system before you can complete your training. Please email hr-learning@ucdavis.edu to request access to the system.
