Meet New Industrial Hygiene Specialist, Sadie

Welcome Sadie Rosemeyer: New Industrial Hygiene Specialist

Please join us in welcoming Sadie Rosemeyer, our new Industrial Hygiene Specialist for the Environmental Health and Safety team at UC Davis. She works closely with her colleagues to identify and mitigate safety concerns on campus through assessments of biological, physical, and chemical hazards. Sadie appreciates being a part of a community of exceptional Industrial Hygienists here at UC Davis, where she can learn and collaborate with them. Sadie plays an essential role by staying up to date on current and future Cal/OSHA regulations regarding protecting employee’s rights to being safe while working.

For the past 5+ years, Sadie worked with a private environmental consulting company as an Industrial Hygienist where she would travel a lot within California to perform exposure assessments, various types of sampling, as well as safety oversight at remediation sites.

Sadie earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Sacramento State University and also received a few certifications: DOSH certified, CAC (Certified Asbestos Consultant) and CDPH Certified Lead Inspector/Assessor. She also has plans to work towards a CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) in the near future.

Sadie looked forward to joining UC Davis because she knew that UC Davis would provide her with the mentorship she needs to move forward with her career. Being able to take a big step into an institution that is dedicated to learning and research as she continues to grow her career is something that Sadie was ready for.

Sadie is originally from Sacramento, but is now living in Placerville. On her days off, she enjoys taking her dog, Bane, on hikes, spending time with family, watching movies, and going to Disneyland!
