The Healthy Department Certification was launched in Fall 2018 and is designed to highlight those departments that are making strides toward practicing and promoting health and well-being in the workplace.

The application focuses on eight areas of well-being and aims to start a conversation on where your department is doing well as well as highlight areas that have room for improvement.

The Healthy Department Certification is open! 

It is recommended that you complete the application with at least one other colleague or a wellness committee in your department to ensure that all viewpoints and interpretations of the questions are considered. The Healthy Department Certification is good for three years. For instance, if you completed the Certification in Fall 2022, you will not need to complete it again until Fall 2025. Check this document to see when your department last completed the Certification. 

Completion of the Healthy Department Certification within the last three years is a pre-requisite to apply for a Wellness Ambassador Mini Grant.
